Answer to The Missing Dollar
The addition and subtraction in the joke is done in the wrong places to confuse you. The facts are clear: the men paid $25, plus the $2 that the bellboy took, plus the $3 that was returned, which is $30. The way it says in the joke doesn't work because you have to subtract the $2 that the bellboy has (not add it) to the $9 times 3=27. When you do $27 minus $2, you come up with the $25 that the men paid!
